Hello and welcome to Rootstown High School!  My name is Mr. DiBattista 

I look forward to meeting all of my new students (and seeing some returning students) as well as all of their parents.

 

I am very excited with the prospect of teaching both Honors Algebra II, both Honors Geometry, and one Pre-Calculus section.

 

Materials needed for all math classes:

 

Textbook -Will be issued first week of class. The books must have book cover on it at all times. 

  

The best book cover is a paper bag.  If books are not covered by September 8th, you will receive a detention.  If they are not covered by the end of that week, you will receive another detention, etc.

 

Notebook - three ring binder with dividers, 1 inch is best

 

Note:  NO SPIRAL NOTEBOOKS NOR FOLDERS WILL BE ACCEPTED.

 

 

Materials needed for Geometry classes:

 

A calculator ( if have TI-83 or TI-84 is fine--but not necessary--a scientific calculator that has trig functions wil be acceptable.

 

Protractor 

 

Ruler

 

Compass (Student will have homework in which they will need a compass.  If Constructions are not done with compasses, students will not get credit for homework.)

 

 

Materials needed for Algebra II classes:

 

A TI- 83 or TI-84 (or TI-84 plus) Graphing Calculator 

 

Ruler

 

Protractor

 

 

Materials needed for Pre-Calculus:

 

A TI-83 or TI-84 Graphing Calculator

 

Grade is based on points of the following:

1.  Tests = 1/3     

2.  Quizzes/Projects = 1/3                            

3.  Notebook = 1/3

      -consists of:  Grade sheet, Notes, Reflections, Homework/Classwork and Investigation write ups.
